Sponsored by The Chatham Film Club in collaboration with the Columbia Land Conservancy
The land sustains us; it grows our food and nurtures our spirits. For 25 years, the Columbia Land Conservancy (CLC) has been working to conserve the rural landscapes of Columbia County, New York. In honor of the Columbia Land Conservancy’s 25th anniversary, The Chatham Film Club is seeking entries for “Looking at the Land,” a juried competition.
Young filmmakers, ages 16-25, are invited to submit original films which celebrate an aspect of CLC’s work. The winning film will be shown at the FilmColumbia Festival, October 2011, and a cash prize will be awarded to the filmmaker. The winner will be selected by a jury comprised of filmmakers, conservationists, and arts professionals.
Entries should address one or more of CLC’s core programs:
Entries should be no more than 30 minutes.
All entries must be received by August 1, 2011, and should be submitted in DVD format along with an entry form.
