Explore, interact, and discover nature in a beautiful outdoor setting. Participants will observe and expand their knowledge of nature and learn about what lives in their own backyard.
After being read a story, children will learn to use binoculars and magnifying glasses to get a closer look at birds, leaves, insects and other critters. Participants can decorate a “Bug Box” to take with them as we venture out to see what lives under rotten logs and rocks. Upon returning from the short hike around the pond, nets and aquariums will be available to search the water for frogs, polliwogs, and other aquatic life.
To register, contact Jenny Brinker at 518.392.5252, ext. 210 or jenny@clctrust.org.
