Event will be held at Tri-form Camphill, 20 Tri Form Road in Hudson, and runs from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Free for all donors, volunteers, and their families.

  • Join CLC and Audubon educator Larry Federman on an early morning bird walk at Greenport Conservation Area! May is prime birding time for migration and there’s a variety of important habitat for nesting birds come spring. CLC will provide binoculars and bird guides but please bring your own if you have them, our supply is limited.

  • Spring is finally here! Join CLC and Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Master Gardeners as we take a guided hike at Hand Hollow Conservation Area in search of spring wildflowers. Hand Hollow is home a variety of habitats that should make for interesting wildflower hunting. Please bring a wildflower guide (if you have one) and wear appropriate footwear, as some of the trails may be wet from spring rain.

    Family Fun Day will include free ice cream from Stewart’s, a herding dogs demonstration, a beaver talk, guided hikes, and fun games. Pack a picnic or come hungry and purchase food from Capital Q Smokehouse.

  • We’re pleased to announce our new Sip & Stroll series – casual evening walks with libations and information on a different topic, held every other month through the summer and fall.

    The first Stroll will take place at Ooms. Larry Federman from the Audubon Society will tell us more about why grassland birds are special and unique, and you’ll get to learn more about how CLC is managing the property for our flying friends. We’ll also have beer from Chatham Brewing.


  • Happy Dogs and Trails for All

  • CLC presents a free people and dog activity — SAFE ADVENTURES IN THE PARK WITH YOUR DOG! with Peg Munves, CPDT-KA. This class includes fun and effective techniques for sharing our CLC spaces so everyone can have safe and successful outings with their dog.

    Topics we will cover include:

    • proper trail walking etiquette and yielding space to others
    • interacting with other dogs in the parking lot and park, and on the trail (leashed & unleashed)
    • interacting with other humans in the park, parking lots, and on the trail
    • improving your recall and attention outside
    • reviewing CLC leash policies and other dog policies

    Everyone who wishes to attend must register by June 22. We are able to accomodate 8 dog/handler teams only – others without dogs are welcome but also must register. Bring dogs on your regular walking equipment – leashes are mandatory. Please bring a couple of cups of soft, smelly training reinforcements that they dog can easily swallow; kibble is fine if your dog loves it. Dog-friendly dogs only please, one dog per handler.

    By signing up for this class, you are certifying that your dog has up-to-date inoculations or titers and is healthy.

    ABOUT Peg: Peg Munves, CPDT-KA, runs Step in Time Training LLC. based in New Lebanon and serves surrounding Columbia County towns as well as Berkshire County. Peg is a judge and also offers a variety of services related to dog sports training. For many years she has taught group classes and supported handlers and dogs with problem behaviors, and has trained and handled numerous dogs for advertising work. She is a versatile and motivating trainer who encourages the development of cooperative, happy team relationships based on the establishment of clear communication.  Peg believes that training and behavior modification should be safe, enjoyable, and successful for both the dog and the humans who love them.
