Spontaneous walks to see salamander and frog eggs in vernal pools, find spring wildflowers, visit sites when the witch hazel is in bloom, or go looking for a bald eagle that was spotted recently. In past years, many of these activities were planned into a schedule, but this year’s unusually warm weather has made seasonal events unpredictable.
