Property Description

Property’s current condition and current use(s)

A well drained open field of 3 acres on a western sloping hillside with a 3 story side hill barn situated along side the road at the top of the slope. Recent cover crops that were planted in in 2015 thru 2017 were rye, sudex and red clover. In the fall of 2018 organic garlic was planted and harvested successfully this past July.. The current garlic farmer is moving on now leaving the field and barn available. A  cover crop of rye will be planted in the fall of 2019.

This is a 1880s farm property. My family lives in the original farmhouse across the street from the field and barn. The field has not been not farmed over the past decade or so. Last year organic garlic was grown and harvested successfully in half of the field. The garlic farmer is moving on and the field and barn are now available for lease.  A decade or so ago, the field was previously planted with pumpkins and corn.
