Beth H. Mills, Ph.D.
Director of Conservation Programs
Beth joined the staff at CLC in July 2017 after working for many years in New Mexico where her focus was on community and open space planning, land protection, and conservation. She worked with both the local government in Santa Fe and with the New Mexico Land Conservancy, a statewide land trust. Born and raised in Connecticut, Beth was motivated to return to the northeast, and to rediscover her “home” environment. She is interested in the local food movement, supports the vision of sustainable development for rural areas, and has been charmed by the beauty and unique character of Columbia County.
