Community Planning & Engagement
Municipalities have an important role to play in conserving the land, water, forests, and wildlife habitat of Columbia County – which are essential to rural character – through land use decisions (including plans, policies, and regulatory practices). CLC’s Community Planning and Engagement program is a planning resource for Columbia County communities. Our staff provide assistance and resources to help local municipalities realize their own vision for conservation. While we are deeply rooted in Columbia County, CLC can bring a regional perspective to land use issues that comes out of our many partnerships with agencies and organizations throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond.
