About the Program: Join Cultured Forest for two hours of guided Forest Bathing at Greenport Conservation Area. Forest Bathing is based on a Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku that involves connecting with nature by “Bathing in the Forest Atmosphere.”
Studies show time in nature lowers blood pressure, boosts immunity and reduces stress. In this activity, you will indulge with fellow nature lovers in relaxing mindfulness and self-care in a guided outdoor class. Plan to see the natural settings of the park, while learning activities that allow you to better connect with yourself and the outdoors. Leave feeling centered, connected and more at peace.
Accessibility: This will be a slow, meandering walk along the Access for All Trail, a broad, gravel path. We will make plenty of stops to observe the world around us.
What to bring: Bug spray, sunscreen, water.
Age guidelines: This program is more appropriate for adults.
Capacity: 10, please follow all COVID safety guidelines.
Your donation to this event will help support maintenance of Greenport and CLC’s other Public Conservation Areas. Please pay what you can.
