Join naturalist Molly Marquand at the Keep Preserve in Germantown, NY on August 4th at 9:00 a.m for an hour-long review of the New York Botanical Garden’s (NYBG) latest work in the field of ash conservation. The invasive beetle, Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), has been active in Columbia county for over a decade. Come and learn how to identify the signs of EAB and to join NYBG’s search for ash trees that may be resistant to this invasive pest. As we walk the preserve’s paths we will also identify other invasive species and discuss both their environmental impacts and ways to manage them at home. The preserve is located on County Rt. 8, at Orr road. Please wear long pants, come prepared for hot weather, and, if you have one, bring your smart phone!
