Event Details

Join CLC and Alan Devoe Bird Club member Marian Sole for an early morning walk at Drowned Lands Swamp Conservation Area. We will likely see some of the early spring migration in the mix of fields, woodlands, and marshland. Spring migrants including yellow-throated vireo, green-winged and blue-winged Teal, Nashville warbler, Sora, and Virginia rail have been seen or heard on this trip.

Difficulty: Gentle and flat – we will most likely stay on the trail along the swamp form the parking lot, how far we walk will depend on the bird activity! We will be stopping fairly often to look and listen for birds, it will be a leisurely walk.

Things to bring: Water, weather appropriate clothing, binoculars, smart phone

To register: Please call Marian Sole at 203.710.9096.
