Join the Chatham Agricultural Partnership and CLC for the Chatham Area Farm Tour! During this self-guided tour you’ll have a chance to get to know the farms in the Chatham area – tour the farms, greet the animals, taste farm-fresh produce and more!

  • Arthur’s Point Farm
    Established in 2020, Arthur’s Point Farm specializes in growing and selling a variety of native and locally-adapted cultivars of nuts, fruits, and other ecologically-important trees, shrubs, and perennial wildflowers of superior genetic selection. The farm also produces probiotic biochars that build soil health, recycle nutrients, and sequester carbon. Additionally, we advise on agroforestry and ecological restoration projects. Guided tours will begin at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
  • The Barn at Miller’s Crossing
    The Barn at Miller’s Crossing grows certified organic vegetables, plants and flowers, and raise a small grass-fed beef herd. They also make maple syrup, maple products, and manage a 400-acre grain operation. Their produce is marketed through member CSAs, the Hudson Farmers’ Market, their retail farm stand. Visit their farm store located in a 250-year-old Dutch Barn! Tours will be at the Farm stand on Route 217 at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1:00 p.m.
  • Buttonwood Hollow Farm
    A small family farm in Chatham offering exclusively pasture-raised beef and pork, wood-fired maple syrup, and cut flowers. Stop by to chat with farmers, learn about our buying club, pick up farm goods, and see the animals. 
  • The Chatham Berry Farm
    The Chatham Berry Farm is a local, family-owned and operated farm, farm store and garden center.  Providing fresh, wholesome food to our community since 1982, celebrating 40 years in business! Specializing in natural, organic and local produce and specialty products as well as no spray, pesticide-free, hydroponically grown greens and vegetables from their greenhouses throughout the year. U-Pick pesticide-free fruit available July-October.  The Greenhouse Cidery at the farm is open seasonally, Thursday-Saturday.  Featuring unique & small batch hard cider made on site using locally grown apples, NYS beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.  Farm store is open daily, 8:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. year-round!
  • Dog Wood Farm & Rock City Mushrooms
    A diversified farm raising pastured turkeys, grass-fed beef, and indoor-cultivated mushrooms. Tours will be held throughout the day. Farm foods are available for purchase plus Thanksgiving turkey pre-orders! Freshly prepared lunch also available from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Equine Advocates Rescue & Sanctuary
    Equine Advocates promotes the humane and responsible treatment of equines through rescue operations, advocacy & humane education. Come and meet the 81 rescued horses, ponies, donkeys & mules that call the sanctuary home! Read their bios on graphics at each paddock, and learn about where they came from and why they needed to be rescued. You will gain a better understanding of the issues facing America’s equines through their stories. Bring your lunch and picnic at their benches by the pond – you can watch the horses nearby and enjoy one of the most serene places on the farm.
  • Grimaldi Farm
    Visit Grimaldi Farm’s and be sure to stop at their farm store for fresh grass-fed organic beef, non-GMO chicken, freshly laid eggs, and a selection of produce. On tour day Benjamin Bruckenthal will be serving up our certified Organic grass-fed meats. Farm tours will take place 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Hawthorne Valley Farm
    Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, this 900-acre Demeter-certified Biodynamic® farm dedicated to farming holistically and producing high quality food. Hawthorne Valley Farm includes dairy cows, vegetables, a 300-plus member CSA, an organic creamery and artisan bakery, a fermentation enterprise, and more! Stop by their on-site Farm Store is a full-line natural foods and grocery store (open daily). Guided farm tour starts at 2:00 p.m., or pick up a map and take a self-guided tour at your convenience.
  • High & Mighty Farm
    High & Mighty Therapeutic Riding & Driving Center offers riding, driving and other equine services to people of all abilities. Their herd also offers opportunities for individuals and groups to explore personal development, all in an integrated community setting. Tours are available from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Jersey Meadow Farm  Jersey Meadow is a family owned and operated, small-scale, state certified raw milk dairy. Their ongoing goal is quality, affordable milk with a taste that keeps you coming back. Stop by and visit the friendly Jersey cows and calves, enjoy a free sample of milk, and take the time for a self-guided tour of the milking barn. We will be serving soft serve ice cream, and there will be “barrel train” rides for the children.
  • Kinderhook Farm
    With fields and operations spanning Ghent and Chatham, visit the center of activity to learn more about raising grass-fed beef, lamb, pastured pork and chickens. A farm store offers beef, lamb, pork as well as raw honey, chicken and eggs for sale. Tours throughout the day.
  • Love Apple Farm
    Love Apple Farm has been part of the Ghent community and regional farm scene since 1969. Situated on 80 acres with over 25 varieties of apples and fruits, we are a modern day farm stand. Their farmers market boasts 4500 sq ft. offering their famous tree ripe fruits, fresh bread, cheeses, dairy and meats. Stop by the cafe’ that serves a variety of fresh baked pastries, salads, sandwiches and of course – their famous apple cider donuts! Take time to stroll through our orchards stopping by our free petting zoo and playground for the kids!!  Open all year round ~7 days a week.
  • Maple Leaf Sugaring
    This family owned and operated certified organic maple sugaring operation producing high quality maple syrup from over 7,000 taps. Join them to learn how maple syrup is crafted. Tours of farm will be offered throughout the day. Sugar house store open with syrup, maple cotton candy, maple sugar and maple cream.
  • Ooms Dairy Farm
    The largest dairy operation in Chatham sells wholesale milk and is a multi-generational dairy farm in business for over 50 years. See the robotic milking machine! Tours on the hour from noon to 4:00 p.m.
  • Staron Farm
    A family owned business, started in 1978 by Donna and Stanley Staron.  They grow a variety of fruits and veggies, with potatoes being the largest crop. Stop by their roadside farm stand to purchase the fruits of the labor during the tour! Hours are weekdays 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and weekends 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., June through October.
  • Woven Stars Farm
    Woven Stars Farm is a biodynamic, women-operated livestock farm located in Ghent, New York. We raise a variety of grass fed and pasture raised meats including lamb, beef, pork, chicken and goat. We also have a flock of laying hens for eggs. Come shop in our self-serve farm store for a variety of our own chops, cuts, sausages and more! Tours offered throughout the day to meet your farmers, livestock guardian dogs, and animals.
