Trails Day

There’s so much to celebrate on Trails Day! Bring family, friends, and your four-legged pals to Greenport Conservation Area for an afternoon of food and fun.

What can you expect?

• The opportunity for a guided walk to experience with one ear towards the river, with one eye to the land is a series of artworks meandering along the Dogwood Trail. In collaboration with local scientists and naturalists, artist Austen Camille asks the viewer to look through, look around, get close and notice the many small beings that connect this ecosystem to the river.
• A new information kiosk designed by Camille at the entrance to the Access for All Trail, focusing on the many living beings who inhabit the preserve.
• Quality time in the refurbished gazebo while you gaze at the Hudson River
• Selfie-ready moments while on a Nature Quest hike to visit Earl the Squirrel
• Yummy eats from This N That food truck
• Free ice cream from Stewart’s
• Plenty of fun activities from partners!
