Event Details
This two-part program for invasive species awareness and identification features an online training program coupled with an in the field training with regional experts from the Capital Region PRISM, a Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management.
At this field workshop, participants will learn how to identify common invasive species and report them in iMapInvasives, a state-run database. These data will help make conservation-based management decisions at Overmountain Conservation Area. We will use our identification skills and information learned to target an area near the entrance for removal and restoration.
Please download the iMapInvasives app and create an account prior to attending the event.
