Property Description

Our business is 30 years old. We have been moving into and reclaiming and farming on this 200 year old farm since we purchased it 5 years ago. Our original farm was just one mile away.  We have always produced high quality cut flowers, vegetables and bedding plants and marketed them from the farm and at the Great Barrington Farmers Market.  We are retiring after this season.

This is a mixed use property including two houses with four rental apartments. A stream, barn a greenhouse and a high tunnel. Our house sits on 4 acres across the Agawamuck Stream. Farming is inherent to this 200 year old complex, but must fit in with the beautiful, quiet surroundings with respect for the land and those who share the space.

Farm history / past uses of the property

200 year old farm started with grain the barn was for threshing. Then it was re fitted for dairy around the 50’s, then was being hayed and completely derelict when we got it 5 years ago.

We have spent five years cleaning and repairing the decades of dereliction and abuse that was heaped upon this absolutely gorgeous property. We are very protective in the forward movement and continued healing this wonderful place deserves.

We have used electric fence around the garden.

The Agawamuck stream runs by the field for irrigation

 Large 200 year old barn is going through restoration. There is a small storage area available.

1- growing house 25’x48” with benches etc

Farmer housing description

It is possible that housing in one of the four rentals would be available. But, currently there are no openings. Please inquire if you would need housing.
